Ti and the public launched an innovative hybrid car plastic tank technology

Michigan Auburn Hills, January 29, 2021 / US Department / – The world’s leading automotive fluid system technology supplier Ti Fluid Systems (LSE code: TIFS) announced today that it will provide mixing power New generation plastic fuel tank design for electric vehicle (HEV) strict pressure requirements. The plastic fuel tank has recently put into mass production on Pasat and Magotan Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) models, and plans to adopt in a wider global platform.

This innovation technology represents a large number of design and collaborative development, including the mass test and vehicle assessment of the Volkswagen and TIFS development team in China and Europe. Traditionally, conventional fuel tanks are running at atmospheric pressure, however, in a specific full-electric mode, the new generation HEV model is expected to withstand cycle pressure of up to 400 mbar. In order to introduce a coated ball pin for the internal pressure of the anti-oil tank, the new design solution has a buckle-fitting column structure with a TIFF patent division type blank blow molding process. TIFS has confirmed that the technology is issued to provide a light plastic solution for hybrid vehicles, overcoming the disadvantage of competitors’ internal fuel tank welding structure.

“TIFS has adopted strategic initiatives to address new growth in electricity trend, including all models to support through innovative product solutions. This includes global mixing automobile platforms. Our innovative plastic tank technology makes OEM Mixed cars can be adjusted to achieve optimal electric vehicle efficiency and performance. “President and CEO Bill Kozyra said.
