BSI releases new security requirements to help ensure the automatic driving vehicle safety tests and test

London 2020, March 19 / PRNewswire / – As the UK’s national standards body, BSI issued to ensure that the autonomous vehicle testing and safety testing for the purpose of PAS 1881. The specification defines the automatic driving vehicle development and testing process as well as the minimum requirements for security management of the test autonomous vehicles (eg, driverless cars) in the road or off-road conditions.

It is the first fast-track standardization of documents, known as Publicly Available Specification (PAS), published as part of CAV BSI standard two-year plan. The program and the Internet and automatic driving vehicle center (CCAV), UK Ministry of Transportation, Innovate UK ( “British Innovation” project) and Zenzic jointly provided. Its purpose is to help speed up guidelines and technical standards for the safe use of CAV.

As the United Kingdom will be positioned as a global center for the development of CAV own, PAS 1881 to help public organizations involved in testing and trials to prove its safety case of the CAV follow good practice. This will help to strengthen insurance companies, authorities and public confidence. With experience and test innovative CAV tests conducted in Britain accumulated, BSI has developed a world-leading specification – the world’s first PAS 1881.

The Steering Group free download of PAS formed by organizations from the United Kingdom CAV ecosystems (including TRL as well as other automotive technologies and professional organizations) 1 is completed.

use of the core test and measurement process safety management requirements, PAS 1881 will be the British government’s own Code of Conduct test autonomous vehicles complement. It is also currently further enriched by the use of Zenzic create a Safety Case Framework Report 2.0 (Safety Case Report Framework 2.0), an organization dedicated to accelerating the UK and TRL autopilot revolution. The report provides high-level guidance and support processes to ensure good practice and in accordance with PAS 1881 consistent approach to security in the entire test platform ecosystem in the United Kingdom.

PAS 1881 BSI launch coincides with the release of the industry for a new vocabulary contains key technical terms and definitions. Digital DatabaseParticipants will provide those CAV field of much-needed resources, it has been developed to reflect the rapidly changing nature of the market.

As Scott Steedman BSI Standards Director said: “Our goal is to create in the UK the best possible environment for the conduct of security testing, testing, and deployment of innovative future vehicle technologies is critical, depending. whether there will be support industry and regulatory authorities and enhance public confidence in the correct standard .BSI standard strategy for the interconnection and autonomous vehicles (CAV) is to provide security to accelerate innovation but insists that the first solution. “

British Ministry of Parliamentary Secretary Rachel Maclean said: “Britain should always remain a world leader in innovation transportation – from providing financial support and tests for autonomous vehicles up data, licensing and global standards this is what we invested more than 200 million pounds for. the reason interconnected and autonomous vehicles research, development and testing platform lies. with the constant introduction of new technologies, I welcome these standards from the BSI, which will allow more environmentally friendly because the flow of people, goods and services, health, secure and reliable “

Richard Porter Zenzic technology and innovation director, said:” PAS 18 Development of 81 was supported by the UK Zenzic CAV test bed partner, laid the foundation for our own new safety case framework and abide by the framework in the development of automated driving technology organizations will be able to more easily in our testbed partner facilities . conversion varies between the different abilities and provided by the environment. “

from the program’s second PAS -PAS 1880 assessment guidelines will be created automatically driving a vehicle control system security – from driverless pods to production vehicles. The specification program launched in March, will help design for test and road test of autonomous vehicles companies more confident assessment of the security level of their final products, systems and components.
