The current mainstream of new energy vehicles types are pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, such as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and extended-range car is not the mainstream of new energy vehicles types. And in my opinion, the next decade, electric vehicles will become the market mainstream models.
to start a technical level, plug-in hybrid car to the fuel type is more like a pure electric vehicle development direction of transition models; or in other words, plug type hybrid of new energy technology is not complete. Because the plug-in hybrid type uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain system having an engine and an electric motor + the group consisting of a battery, so if the plug-in hybrid type battery is dead once, on the plug-in hybrid type into a pure fuel vehicles, and can not play a role in energy conservation. 
Moreover, now charging infrastructure and charging stations and other construction pile more and more perfect, which is even more powerful for the development of pure electric vehicles. The reason why people would buy a plug-in hybrid, part of the reason is fear of a pure electric vehicle charging inconvenient. But now charging infrastructure and charging stations pile of building a more perfect, the charging of pure electric vehicles will be more convenient, plug-in hybrids will lose the advantage.
In summary, the electric car is the future mainstream.
