DPC is ldquo; Dynamic Performance Controlrdquo; abbreviation, is a dynamic driving force distribution system developed by BMW. It can be assigned as needed to accurately rear axle between the two rear wheel drive force, enhance the stability of the posture of the vehicle body to adjust, leading to a higher security.
DPC and cooperating xDrive: during understeer, the driving force is transferred from the first xDrive to the rear axle, the driving force of the rear axle and the DPC assigned to the outer side of the wheel more (up to 100%) such that understeer can correct posture, the vehicle body back onto the correct track; and at the opposite oversteer, xDrive forward axial transfer the driving force, the driving force of the DPC assigned to the front axle of the inner wheel is obtained, without greatly improve the dynamic characteristics and stability of the vehicle body under the conditions of power loss.
